exchange partnerships with prestigious international institutions enable Rice
University to welcome visiting students from all over the world. Incoming and
outgoing exchange students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the
academic and social life of the host institution while paying tuition to their
home institution. Rice University strongly believes that these partnerships not
only provide great opportunities for Rice students to study overseas, but they
also enrich the Rice student body in general through the contributions of
visiting exchange students on campus.
Incoming undergraduate exchanges at Rice University are coordinated by the Study Abroad Office, the office responsible for undergraduate study abroad at Rice. Rice University will only accept exchange students who have been nominated to participate in the exchange program from Rice partner institutions. Students interested in attending Rice as an exchange student should contact their home institution office responsible for coordinating exchange programs. The home institution will then nominate eligible and approved students to Rice University.
