All students must complete a Budget Worksheet for their individual program, as part of the application for studying abroad. This worksheet will indicate both to our office and to the Office of Financial Aid your estimated cost of attendance at the institution abroad. Cost of attendance is calculated on the following factors: tuition and fees, room and board, travel, personal expenses, and books and supplies. Keep in mind that living abroad may be more or less expensive than living in Houston, so cost will vary based on type of academic program, destination, length of program and other factors.
Please fill out the Budget Worksheet to the best of your knowledge and submit it by the application deadline as part of your application to the Rice Study Abroad Office.
You may consult our sample budget worksheet for further guidance.
