This complex and diverse world is increasingly becoming a global community, and the necessity of understanding and respecting each others cultures and ways of life is more important than ever before.

At Rice, we are committed to educating global citizens who act to leave their imprint on the world. Through studying abroad, our students immerse themselves in another culture for an academic year, semester or summer, learning the language, culture and philosophy of others.

Through Rice International Programs, Rice University offers students the opportunity to pursue high quality, rigorous study at select international universities as well as experience scholastically focused field research, internships and service learning in a variety of approved academic programs. These opportunities encompass every Rice academic major and field of study through programs in more than 60 countries.
